How Much Does It Cost To Stay At A Disney World Hotel In 2024?

It’s no secret that a Disney World vacation costs a lot, and your Disney hotel stay is a big factor in just how much “a lot” is for you.

A Disney hotel room typically costs anywhere from $117 all the way up to $1,000+ per night depending on where you stay and when you’re visiting. And, it can be a lot to shift through costs to find the resort that fits into your budget. That’s why we’re crunching all the numbers for you and bringing you a complete look at how much it costs to stay at a Disney World hotel in 2024. From the cheapest nights to the most expensive, we’ve got a look at it all!

The Lion King section at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort

Now, before we dive into the numbers, let’s do a quick refresher on how Disney World Resort pricing works. All of the Disney hotels are divided into four different categories — Disney Value Resorts, Moderate Resorts, Deluxe Resorts, and Deluxe Villas. The value resorts are going to be the cheapest options, the deluxe resorts and villas are the most expensive, and the moderate resorts are somewhere in between.

And — to some extent, at least — you’re getting what you paid for. The rooms at value resorts tend to be smaller and there are fewer amenities and places to eat. Whereas, deluxe resorts have the largest rooms across all the Disney hotels and usually offer luxury amenities and have multiple restaurants.

But, where you choose to stay really boils down to what you’re looking for. Are you looking for a place that will fit into your tight budget? Do you plan to spend a lot of time at your resort or are you just there to sleep? Do you care if you get your Mickey Waffles from a food court or an up-scale quick service restaurant?

It’s all things to consider!

Disney’s Boardwalk Inn

Every year, Disney makes the rate calendar available online for every room type at every resort — but, that can be a lot to sift through! So, to help you out, let’s take a look at how much it costs to stay at each Disney hotel in 2024!

For the purpose of simplicity, we’ll use the pricing for the standard room type at each resort. These are usually the cheapest room options, so you can expect the pricing to be a little bit higher if you end up booking a preferred or larger room.

Disney Value Resorts

Disney’s Pop Century Resort

Average cost per night in 2024: $234 | Average weekday cost: $229 | Average weekend cost: $247

Disney’s Pop Century Resort is a Value Resort in Disney World that is themed to highlight the cultures of years past and is separated into five different sections (or centuries) including the 1950s, 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s. Many Disney-goers tout Disney’s Pop Century as one of their favorite hotels in Disney World, as the rooms were updated in 2017 and it is one of only four hotels that are connected to both EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios by the Disney Skyliner.

But, how much will it cost you to stay here in 2024?

Disney’s Pop Century Resort

Overall, the average cost per night at Disney’s Pop Century Resort is $234, with the average cost on weekday nights being a bit lower at $229, and the average cost on weekend nights being a bit higher at $247.

That being said, the cheapest days to stay at this hotel in 2023 cost only $163 per night — which is $70 LESS than the average for the year. And, the most expensive nights cost $348. You can book Disney’s Pop Century at the lowest rate on select nights in January and February, and the most expensive nights are in December around the holidays.

Disney’s Pop Century Resort

Ultimately, the cost of your stay at Disney’s Pop Century Resort is going to boil down to what time of year you’re visiting. If you plan your trip during the busier season at Disney World (think when schools are on breaks and around the holidays), then your room is going to cost more. Plan it for the slower times of the year and you’ll pay less.

Not sure what is considered Disney’s “slow” or “busy” season? Here’s a look at the average per-night cost at Disney’s Pop Century Resort for each month in 2024:

  • January: $188
  • February: $229
  • March: $269
  • April: $234
  • May: $229
  • June: $236
  • July: $234
  • August: $213
  • September: $218
  • October: $227
  • November: $238
  • December: $292

Of course, the cost per night is going to fluctuate based on the exact dates that you book. But, in general, the cheapest days each month will be Monday-Wednesday, and the most expensive will be Friday-Saturday.

They all share a bus route to the parks, feature larger-than-life icons that give the hotel a fun kid-friendly atmosphere, and are located right next to each other.

And, if you’re looking for the CHEAPEST Disney hotel…this is it! The All-Star Resorts are all priced the same for every night in 2024, so it really just boils down to what theming you’d prefer. GRAN DESTINO TOWER
Average cost per night in 2024: $398 | Average weekday cost: $394 | Average weekend cost: $411

Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort is a little different than your average Disney hotel. The resort has been around since 1997, but the main lobby area underwent a MAJOR renovation in 2019. Disney created an all-new lobby and arrival area for guests in the building now known as the Gran Destino Tower. With the renovations came 545 brand-new guest rooms located in the main tower, including 50 suites and Club Level rooms.

Gran Destino Tower at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort

The other unique thing about Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort is that it is the only Disney hotel that caters to both vacationers and business travelers, offering a state-of-the-art conference and convention center in the Moderate Resort category.

Because of this, the hotel is home to more dining options than you’d expect at a Disney Moderate Resort and there are more luxury amenities available to guests.

Tower Room — Water View at Disney’s Gran Destino Tower

With the addition of the Gran Destino Tower, the pricing at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort became a bit more complex. There are now some pretty significant cost differences between the rooms in the buildings across the resort (which are not connected to the main lobby) and the new Gran Destino Tower, so we’ve split the costs up for each.

Overall, the average cost per night for a standard room is $301, and the average cost per night for a room in the Gran Destino Tower is $398 in 2024.

The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort

Average cost per night in 2024: $520 | Average weekday cost: $517 | Average weekend cost: $528

You might be surprised to learn that The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort are classified as a Moderate Resort, but there are some things about this “hotel” that might actually make it a more affordable option compared to the other Disney hotels in this category. And, a big one is that the cabins actually sleep up to six people and offer more amenities and privacy compared to a traditional Disney hotel.

The current Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort ©Disney

Overall, the average cost per night for a cabin is $520, with the average cost on weekday nights being just barely lower at $517 per night, and the average cost on weekend nights being slightly higher at $286. Of course, there are some nights in 2024 that you can book a cabin for much less (or much more).

The cheapest days to stay at this hotel in 2024 cost $414 per night, and the most expensive nights cost $818 — so a pretty big range.

Trail’s End Restaurant

Here’s a closer breakdown of the average per-night cost at The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort for each month in 2024:

  • July: $470
  • August: $442
  • September: $492
  • October: $534

If you take into account the fact that you’d have to book two rooms at any other resort if you have 6 people in your party, this is actually a pretty fair price. Plus, you’ll be getting a full kitchen, a living room with a pull-out sofa bed, and a private porch with outdoor seating included in the cost (something that you usually can only find at Disney Vacation Club Villas).

Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club

Average cost per night in 2024: $663 | Average weekday cost: $659 | Average weekend cost: $671

Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resort are actually two different hotels located on Disney’s BoardWalk, but they’ve become rather synonymous over the years. The two share a pool — which is Disney’s only sand-bottomed pool — and are so close that you might not even realize you’ve gone next door if you’re just walking around. Plus, they also offer easy access to the Epcot and Hollywood Studios via a walking path and boat service.

Really, the biggest difference is that the Yacht Club has nautical theming and the Beach Club is designed to look and feel like a grand beach house, so it just depends on your taste!

Disney’s Beach Club

Because the two hotels are so similar in what they offer, they’re priced almost exactly the same (you might find a dollar-to-two fluctuation between the two depending on the night). Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge

Average cost per night in 2024: $535 | Average weekday cost: $531 | Average weekend cost: $545

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is among the most underrated Deluxe Resorts in Walt Disney World, likely because of its location. It is known for being the closest hotel to Disney’s Animal Kingdom but that comes at the cost of being a bit further from all the other parks (which means a longer bus ride).

The thing that really sets this hotel apart from others, though, is that you can actually see wildlife out at all times of the day from your room (or other areas around the hotel) out on the savannah! It’s similar to the Kilimanjaro Safaris attraction in Animal Kingdom but better in that you don’t have to stand in line and go on a bumpy ride to see the animals for a few seconds — you can sit out and watch them as long as you’d like.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge — Jambo House

As far as pricing, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is one of the cheaper Deluxe Resorts. The lowest cost per room that you’ll find in 2024 is $433 per night, and the highest is $789 per night. Now, that’s a pretty big range, so you can expect to pay somewhere in between if you’re not visiting in January-early February (when costs are at their lowest), or the holiday week in December (when costs are at their highest).

The Savanna at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge — Jambo House

Here’s a look at the average per-night cost at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge for each month in 2024:

  • January: $460
  • February: $536
  • March: $596
  • April: $547
  • May: $535
  • June: $500
  • July: $486
  • August: $471
  • September: $518
  • October: $554
  • November: $543
  • December: $674

Keep in mind that these are the rates for the standard rooms at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge which do not offer views of the savannah from your balcony. The Savannah View rooms are the most expensive at the hotel, but that might be worth it for you and your family if you plan on spending some time in your room every day of your trip to enjoy the view — the cost just might be much higher than this.

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

Average cost per night in 2024: $575 | Average weekday cost: $572 | Average weekend cost: $585

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is the final Deluxe Resort in Disney World. It is located just a boat ride away from Magic Kingdom and is themed to make you feel like you’re staying at a national park lodge. You can cozy up next to the giant 82-foot tall stone fireplace in the lobby, enjoy a drink on the water, or take in the sight of an impressive 120′ Fire Rock Geyser that spouts every hour on the hour from 7AM to 10PM daily.

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

It may be conveniently located near Magic Kingdom, but that doesn’t hike the price up nearly as much as staying on the Disney Monorail. In fact, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is on the cheaper end when it comes to Deluxe Resorts in Disney World (though, that’s not saying too much).

In 2024, the average cost per night for a standard room at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is $575. The lowest cost per room that you’ll find is $466 per night, and the highest is $870 per night. So, you can stay here for the least amount of money of all the Deluxe Resorts, though that rate is only available for a few dates in January and February.

Disney Deluxe Villas

Disney’s Riviera Resort

Average cost per night in 2024: $757 | Average weekday cost: $752 | Average weekend cost: $770

Disney’s Riviera Resort is considered a Disney Deluxe Villa, though you don’t have to be a Disney Vacation Club member to stay here — you can just book yourself a room at the per-night rate.

Disney’s Riviera Resort

If you didn’t know, Disney’s Riviera Resort is the newest Disney hotel and is located on the Disney Skyliner route. It opened in 2019 and is inspired by Walt and Lillian Disney’s vacations to Europe, specifically the French and Italian Riviera coastline — hence, the “Riviera” in its name.

Unlike other Disney World hotels, Disney’s Riviera Resort is one large expansive hotel and is not divided into multiple buildings. So, no matter what room type you book, you’ll always be near hotel amenities — no outdoor walking required!

Disney’s Riviera Resort

As a Disney Vacation Club Resort, there are a lot of different room types at Disney’s Riviera Resort. The cheapest option is a Tower Studio, but it only sleeps 2 people and — as you might imagine — is pretty small. Since most families are traveling with 2 adults and 2 kids on average, we used the cost of the Deluxe Studios in 2024 for our calculations.

Keeping that in mind, overall, the average cost per night for a Deluxe Studio (which sleeps up to 4) at Disney’s Riviera Resort is $757, with the average cost on weekday nights being a bit lower at $752, and the average cost on weekend nights being a bit higher at $770. Of course, there are some dates that go well over $800, with the most expensive nights costing $1,068 per room. And, the cheapest nights are about $100 less than the average cost at $642 per room.

Here’s a look at the average per-night cost at Disney’s Riviera Resort for each month in 2024:

  • January: $675
  • February: $791
  • March: $974
  • April: $780
  • May: $732
  • June: $712
  • July: $699
  • August: $668
  • September: $671
  • October: $726
  • November: $737
  • December: $916

If you are looking for the cheapest option at Disney’s Riviera Resort (and are only traveling with 2 in your party), you can expect the Tower Studio to cost about $200 less than a Deluxe Studio.

Disney’s Old Key West Resort

Average cost per night in 2024: $514 | Average weekday cost: $510 | Average weekend cost: $525

Disney’s Old Key West Resort is Disney’s first Vacation Club (DVC) Resort, opening back in 1991 and then being renamed to what we know today in 1996. Though it may be older, the hotel has undergone several refurbishments throughout the years, including a major renovation of the guest rooms back in 2010. The hotel itself is themed to the Florida Keys and features the largest standard rooms of all the Disney Deluxe Villas.

Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is the second oldest Disney Vacation Club Resort in Walt Disney World. But, don’t let the age fool you — it’s actually the largest DVC hotel when it comes to the number of rooms available, so you have a better chance of finding a room here if you’re visiting during a busier season! It is themed to be a victorian-style equestrian club and is within walking distance of Disney Springs. FAQ

What is the difference between a value, moderate, and deluxe resort?

It can be hard to figure out what the difference is between all the hotels with so much Disney lingo, but it really comes down to what your room is like and what there is to do at your hotel when you’re not in your room sleeping!

Disney Value Resorts are the most budget-friendly option and, with that, offers the most basic accommodations. They typically have smaller rooms and only have one quick-service restaurant that is usually food-court style. As the cheapest hotels in Disney World, they tend to be quite busy and may be louder than other resorts.

Disney Moderate Resorts, on the other hand, offer a step up in luxury and amenities. They may have larger rooms, a wider variety of recreational activities available throughout the day, and typically include both a quick service restaurant and a table service restaurant. These resorts are usually pretty large though and tend to involve a lot of walking to get from your room to amenities like food, shopping, and Disney transportation if you’re not paying the premium for a Preferred Room.

Disney Deluxe Resorts are the most luxurious and expensive option when it comes to hotels in Disney World. They offer the largest guest rooms (for Disney, at least), as well as multiple restaurants (including fine dining restaurants), a wide variety of amenities, spas, and concierge services. They also tend to be located in the most convenient locations in relation to the park. So, you’ll be getting the top-tier Disney experience at these hotels.

How much does it cost to stay at Disney World hotel for a week?

The cost to stay at a Disney World hotel in 2024 for a week is going to depend on the exact length of your stay, what days of the week your trip falls on, what time of the year you’re visiting, and what hotel you choose. But, to help you get an idea of the overall costs, we’ve pulled the numbers for how much it would cost to stay at a Disney hotel for 7-nights (from a Sunday to a Saturday) at the cheapest and most expensive times.

At a Disney Value Resort, you can expect your hotel stay to total somewhere between $975 and $1,500 at its cheapest in January/February, up to anywhere between $1,850 and $2,500 during the December holiday period. Just note that prices will be more in line with the cost of staying at a Moderate Resort if you choose to stay at a Family Suite at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort — you’ll just be getting a whole lot more room for the cost!

At a Disney Moderate Resort, a 7-night stay will cost you between $1,800 and $2,000 at its cheapest in January/February, up to anywhere between $3,000 and $4,000 during the December holiday period. And, at a Disney Deluxe Resort, the total cost would be somewhere between $3,000 and $5,400 at its cheapest in January/February, up to anywhere between $5,500 and $8,300 during the December holiday period.

Lastly, if you’re not using Disney Vacation Club points to stay at the Disney Deluxe Villas, your week-long stay will total between $3,100 and $5,300 at its cheapest in January/February, up to anywhere between $5,000 and $7,500 during the December holiday period.

Again, keep in mind that the cost will vary a lot depending on your exact travel dates, but you can generally plan which resort type might suit your budget best with these estimates.

How much does it cost to park overnight at the hotels?

As of 2023, overnight parking is free for all Disney hotel guests. Don’t forget that all hotel guests can park for free at all of the Disney World theme parks too!

What is the cheapest time to go to Disney World in 2024?

Like other years, the cheapest time to visit Disney World in 2024 is during the slower season (or when Disney World is the least crowded). The slower season for Disney World in 2024 is expected to be from January to early February, and from late July to early September. The most expensive times to visit, on the other hand, are when school is out for spring break (usually between March to April), when school is out for the summer, and around the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.

It’s also important to note that the rates vary by day of the week in addition to month. You can usually find lower rates on Mondays through Wednesdays, and will incur the highest costs if you’re staying on Fridays and Saturdays. Knowing this, you could save some money by opting to plan your Disney trip at the beginning of the week and leave by the weekend. Or, you could stay at two different resorts, booking the most expensive hotel at the beginning of the week (when rates are at their lowest for the time of year you’re visiting), and then booking a cheaper hotel at the end of the week (when rates are higher). These split stays can even be a fun addition to your trip beyond the money savings!

Are there any hidden fees?

There are some costs that you might not expect when you’re staying at a Disney World hotel. This includes:

  • Airport transportation — Disney’s Magical Express is no longer offered, so you’ll need to find (and pay) your own way to get between the airport and your Disney hotel if you’re flying into Orlando. This can cost anywhere from $15 per person up to $100+ per person.
  • Extra guest fee — Disney generally prices rooms for 2 adults and 2 children. So, if you’re traveling with more adults in your party, or even an extra person, you may be charged an additional fee of $15-$35 per night.
  • Tips — If you plan on ordering room service, having bell serves deliver your luggage to you, visiting a spa at your hotel, or eating at a table-service restaurant in your resort you’ll likely want to offer a tip to Cast Members.

These fees can add up quickly and it’s important to be aware of them before you book your stay. It’s also a good idea to check with the hotel or the official website of Disney World to confirm any additional fees before your stay.

When can I book a Disney World hotel for 2024?

Now! Disney releases hotel bookings for the entire year at once, so whether you’re looking to book a hotel for next weekend or 6 months from now, you can secure your room! Just note that 2025 bookings have not yet been released, so you can only book through December 31st, 2024 as of this writing.

How far in advance should I book a Disney hotel?

It is recommended that you book a Disney hotel as far in advance as possible, especially if you’re planning to visit during peak season (anytime there’s a school break or holiday, for example). Disney World hotels tend to fill up quickly and, if you’re looking to book a specific hotel, room type, or package, it’s best to book as soon as the dates become available. This way you’ll have a better chance of getting your preferred hotel and room type.

If you’re planning a trip for the off-peak season, you may have more flexibility and may not need to book as far in advance.
