Pros

  • Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is one of only three hotels located on the Disney Monorail loop, making it easy to get between Magic Kingdom and EPCOT. Plus, the walking path to Magic Kingdom is a huge perk if want to avoid waiting in transportation lines!
  • You can skip the Magic Kingdom fireworks crowds and watch from the beach at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort instead! They even pipe in the music on speakers so you’ll get (almost) the full experience.
  • The FOOD! Between DOLE Whip, Tonga Toast, ‘Ohana, and more, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is known for having some of the best hotel food on Disney property.

Cons

  • A stay at The Polynesian is expensive so if you don’t plan to spend much time in your room or at the resort, you may want to opt for a less expensive Disney resort.
  • Views can vary from the resort hotel rooms. If you aren’t happy with your view, speak with a Cast Member at the front desk who might be able to move you to a room with a better view. Just note that this may come at an additional cost.
  • The Bungalows and buildings are located very close to the Transportation and Ticket Center. Due to this, you’ll likely hear the horn from the Ferryboat transporting guests to and from Magic Kingdom early in the morning, throughout the day, and well into the evening. The Ferryboats run about an hour before the park opens to an hour after the park closes.
