So, you’ve got your Disney World hotel stay booked…now what? It’s time to plan your park days!
Currently, Disney requires that all guests have a valid park ticket AND a Park Pass Reservation for the park that they plan to visit each day of their trip (even if you plan to park hop!). And, with park passes booking up sometimes months in advance for particularly busy times of the year it’s more important than ever before to nail down your vacation details early. So, to help you get planning, we’ve got a look at the Disney World Park hours for the FULL MONTH of April 2023!
Starting off with Magic Kingdom, you’ll be able to spend a lot of time riding rides — including the NEW roller coaster in Tomorrowland, TRON Lightcycle / Run, which opens on April 4th! The park is set to open from 9AM to 11PM on April 1st and, then shift a little earlier with the park open from 9AM to 10PM April 2nd to 8th.
Keep in mind too that guests staying at any Disney World Resort hotel can take advantage of Early Theme Park Entry, so really the hours are 8:30AM to close for you! And, there are also Extended Evening Hours available for guests staying at Disney Deluxe Resorts and Villas on April 5th from 10PM to 12AM.
From April 9th to 15th, Magic Kingdom will be open 9AM to 10PM daily. And, once again, Extended Evening Hours will be available from 10PM to 12AM on Wednesday, April 12th for select guests.
Park hours at Magic Kingdom stay the same from April 16th to 22nd, with the park opening at 9AM and closing at 10PM everday.
Those staying at the Disney resorts that qualify for Extended Evening Theme Park Hours can get some extra time in Magic Kingdom on April 19th from 10PM to 12AM.
For the week of April 23rd to 30th, Magic Kingdom will continue to open from 9AM to 10PM daily. And, again, Extended Evening Theme Park Hours will take place in Magic Kingdom on Wednesday, April 26th from 10PM to 12AM.
If you’re planning a visit to EPCOT the first week of April, you can soak up a full 12 hours every day! EPCOT will open from 9AM to 9PM from April 1st to 8th giving you plenty of time to enjoy all of the food booths and entertainment that is part of the Flower & Garden Festival.
Plus, Extended Evening Theme Park hours gives guests staying at qualifying resorts an extra 2 hours in the park on Monday, April 3rd. Just be sure that you have a Park Pass Reservation for EPCOT or have a valid park hopper ticket and have already visited the park that you had a reservation for earlier in the day.
And, just like Magic Kingdom, Disney Resort hotel guests can take advantage of Early Theme Park Entry every day of the month, allowing you to enter the park 30 minutes prior to the park opening.
EPCOT park hours remain the same throughout the following week too, opening from 9AM to 9PM April 9th through 15th. And, Extended Evening Hours happen once again on Monday, April 10th from 9PM to 11PM.
EPCOT park hours change a little during the week of April 16th through 22nd, so pay attention! The park will open an hour later than in previous weeks on April 16th with the hours being 10AM to 9PM that day only. Park hours for the rest of the week (April 17th through 22nd) return to 9AM to 9PM.
If you’re staying at a Disney Deluxe Resort or Villa, be sure to note on your calendar that Extended Evening Hours take place at EPCOT on Monday, April 17th from 9PM to 11PM.
EPCOT park hours are once again the same from April 23rd to 30th opening from 9AM to 9PM with Extended Evening Hours on Monday, April 24th from 9PM to 11PM.

So, for the first week of April, you can visit Hollywood Studios from 8:30AM to 9:30PM on April 1st and then daily from 8:30AM to 9:30PM. And, if you want more even more time to explore Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, try the new Toy Story-themed restaurant, Roundup Rodeo BBQ, and more, you can purchase Disney After Hours tickets on either April 2nd or April 5th to get an extra 3 HOURS in the park.
Of course, like other parks, Disney World Resort hotel guests can enter 30 minutes early throughout the entire month with Early Theme Park Entry!
Park hours remain mostly the same the week of April 9th to 15th at Disney’s Hollywood Studios with the park open from 8:30AM to 9:30PM on April 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 14th, and 15th. The only exception is April 13th, when the park opens 30 minutes later from 9AM to 9PM.
On Monday, April 16th, Disney’s Hollywood Studios will open from 9AM to 9PM and, then change back to 8:30AM to 9PM for the rest of the week. Plus, there’s another opportunity to get more time in the park with fewer crowds! Disney After Hours is scheduled from 9:30PM to 12:30AM on April 19th.
And, park hours are totally consistent for the last week of April at Disney’s Hollywood Studios the park opening from 8:30AM to 9PM daily.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Because Disney’s Animal Kingdom is so heavily focused on the ability to see animals in their natural habitat throughout the day, the park usually opens and closes the earliest of all four theme parks in Disney World. So, while most parks are open past 9PM in April, Disney’s Animal Kindom has shorter hours, opening from 8AM to 8PM on April 1st, and then 9AM to 7PM April 2nd to 8th.
Of course, if you want to squeeze in some extra time at the park, don’t forget about Early Theme Park Entry if you’re staying at a Disney World hotel!
Park hours remain the same at Disney’s Animal Kingdom between April 9th to 15th with the park opening daily from 9AM to 7PM.
And, the week of April 16th to 22nd, Disney’s Animal Kingdom will open once again from 9AM to 7PM daily.
Then, it’s more of the same for the rest of the month from April 23rd to 30th with Disney’s Animal Kingdom open from 9AM to 7PM every day of the week.

Note that all four Disney Parks have park hopping available for guests who have purchased a park hopper ticket beginning at 2PM to park close. If you are park hopping, be sure that you’ve scanned into your first park of the day where you have a park pass reservation for — otherwise, you won’t be able to get into the other parks!
The only exception to the park pass rules? Disney World Annual Passholders!
