You’ve got your Disney World hotel stay booked and now it’s time to start planning your park days!
Currently, Disney requires that all guests purchase both a valid park ticket and make a Park Pass Reservation for the theme park that they plan to visit each day (even if you’re park hopping!). This means that it’s more important than ever before to nail down your vacation details early. So, to help you get planning, we’ve got a look at the Disney World Park hours for the FULL MONTH of January 2023!
Starting off with Magic Kingdom, the park hours are pretty consistent the first week of January with the park opening at 9AM and closing at 11PM. Keep in mind too that guests staying at any Disney World Resort hotel can take advantage of Early Theme Park Entry, so really the hours are 8:30AM to 11PM for you!
There’s also Extended Evening Hours available for guests staying at Disney Deluxe Resorts and Villas on Wednesday, January 4th from 11PM to 1AM.
From January 8th to 14th, Magic Kingdom will be open 9AM to 11PM on January 8th, 8AM to 10PM on January 9th, 9AM to 11PM from January 10th to 13th, and 8AM to 10PM on January 14th.
Once again, Extended Evening Hours will be available from 11PM to 1AM on January 11th for select guests.
Park hours at Magic Kingdom switch up again the week of January 15th to 21st! The park will be open from 9AM to 11PM on January 15th, 17th, 18th, 19th, and 21st and then shift an hour earlier on January 16th and 20th to be open from 8AM to 10PM.
And, those staying at the Disney resorts that qualify for Extended Evening Theme Park Hours can get some extra time in Magic Kingdom on January 18th from 11PM to 1AM.
For the week of January 22nd to 28th, Magic Kingdom will be open from 9AM to 11PM daily with the exception of January 23rd when the park hours are 8AM to 10PM.
Again, Extended Evening Theme Park Hours will take place in Magic Kingdom on Wednesday, January 25th from 11PM to 1AM.
The final week of January has a bit of a curve ball when it comes to Magic Kingdom park hours. The park will open for one less hour on January 29th and 30th with park hours being 9AM to 10PM. And, on January 31st, Magic Kingdom will close extra early, opening from 9AM to 4:30PM.
This isn’t the first time that Magic Kingdom has closed early in the evening. Usually, this means that there is some sort of special event going on that day.
If you’re planning a visit to EPCOT the first week of January, you can soak up a full 12 hours in the park almost every day! EPCOT will open from 9AM to 9PM January 1st to 6th, and then open an hour later in the morning on January 7th from 10AM to 9PM.
Just like Magic Kingdom, Disney Resort hotel guests can take advantage of Early Theme Park Entry every day of the month, allowing you to enter the park 30 minutes prior to the park opening. And, guests staying at hotels that qualify for Extended Evening Hours can stay later in EPCOT on January 2nd from 9PM to 11PM.
Shorter park hours continue at EPCOT on January 8th, opening from 10AM to 9PM. But, then it’s back to 9AM to 9PM from January 9th to 14th. You might want to plan your trip to EPCOT later this week though, because the EPCOT Festival of the Arts officially kicks off on January 13th. The festival features food booths with specialty eats and drinks that have a focus on — you guessed it — art!
And, if you’re staying at a Disney Deluxe Resort or Villa, be sure to note on your calendar that Extended Evening Hours take place at EPCOT on Monday, January 9th from 9PM to 11PM.
With the EPCOT Festival of the Arts in full swing, the park will open from 9AM to 9PM daily from January 15th to 21st. And, like other weeks, Extended Evening Theme Park Hours wil be available on January 16th from 9PM to 11PM.
EPCOT park hours are once again consistent from January 22nd to 28th opening from 9AM to 9PM with Extended Evening Hours on January 23rd from 9PM to 11PM.
And, to wrap up the month, EPCOT will open from 9AM to 9PM on January 29th, 30th, and 31st. Again, Extended Evening Theme Park Hours are offered on Monday, January 30th from 9PM to 11PM.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Now over to Disney’s Hollywood Studios! Park hours fluctuate a bit throughout the month of January, but the first week is easy to remember with the park opening daily from 8:30AM to 9PM. And, like other parks, Disney World Resort hotel guests can enter 30 minutes early throughout the entire month with Early Theme Park Entry!
Park hours change up a bit the week of January 8th to 14th at Disney’s Hollywood Studios with the park open from 9AM to 9PM on Sunday, January 8th, and then open from 8:30AM to 9PM from January 9th to 14th.
Between January 15th to 21st, you can spend over 12 hours in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, with the park open from 8:30AM to 9PM daily.
From January 22nd to 28th, the park will open once again at 8:30AM and close at 9PM daily.
And, if you’re visiting the last week of January, you can explore Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Toy Story Land, and more daily from 8:30AM to 9PM.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Because Disney’s Animal Kingdom is so heavily focused on the ability to see wildlife throughout the day, it usually opens and closes the earliest of all four theme parks in Disney World. So, while most parks are open past 9PM in January, Disney’s Animal Kindom has shorter hours, opening from 8AM to 8PM between January 1st to 7th.
Park hours are a bit more inconsistent at Disney’s Animal Kingdom between January 8th to 14th, so pay attention to what day(s) you book your Park Pass Reservation for! On January 8th and 14th the park will open from 8AM to 7PM, and from January 9th to 13th Animal Kingdom will open from 9AM to 7PM.
The week of January 15th to 21st, Disney’s Animal Kingdom will welcome guests from 8AM to 7PM on January 15th, 16th, 20th, and 21st. And, then open in the morning an hour later from 9AM to 7PM on January 17th, 18th, and 19th
Park hours switch up even more the week of January 22nd to 28th with Disney’s Animal Kingdom open from 8AM to 7PM on January 22nd, 9AM to 7PM on January 23rd to 27th, and then 8AM to 8PM on January 28th.
Lastly, Disney’s Animal Kingdom returns to opening later January 29th to 31st, with the park hours being 9AM to 7PM daily.

It may be January, but that doesn’t matter too much in Florida where it’s almost always warm! So, if you want to hit up Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park to check out the new Frozen-themed water play area and more, it will open the following hours throughout the entire month of January:
- Sundays: 10AM-5PM

- Wednesdays: 10AM-5PM
