NEW MENU Debuts At California Grill In Disney World!

A lot is changing at Disney’s Contemporary Resort!

Over the past few years, the hotel rooms have undergone a complete refurbishment with a new (and subtle) Incredibles theme, The Wave… transformed into Steakhouse 71 (offering some of the best steak cuts in Disney World), and buffet service is now BACK at Chef Mickey’s. But, that’s not all — the menu at California Grill has also received a HUGE overhaul!

Disney’s Contemporary Resort

Beginning April 1st, a brand new menu has replaced the 50th Anniversary Celebration menu at California Grill!

The menu remains a prix fixe meal with each guest choosing one appetizer, one entree, and one dessert for a flat rate. The pricing also has not changed either with dinner at California Grill costing $89 per adult and $39 per child.

Exclusive elevators take you up to the signature restaurant after you check in!

All of the dishes on the new menu are inspired by contemporary, market cuisine that celebrates the “fresh, seasonal ingredients and the international, melting-pot culture of the Golden State.”

We had already gotten a preview of some of the new menu items including the Goat Cheese Raviolo

But, now we’ve got a look at the FULL MENU! Here’s what’s cooking.

Menu

To start your meal off, you can choose from seven different appetizers including sushi, a fruit salad, black truffle pizza, braised beef short rib wontons, and that Sonoma goat cheese ravioli that Disney shared as a part of their menu preview.

Remember, you can only choose ONE, so plan with everyone in your party who is ordering what in advance — that way you can sample a little bit of everything!

For the main course, you’ve got some fish, beef, steak, and chicken options to choose from. Note that the only plant-based option on the menu is the Saffron Risotto, making the menu A LOT more limited for vegan and vegetarian eaters.

And, to top off your meal, you’ll get to choose from one of five different desserts including a Valrhona Ganache Torte, a Peanut and Banana Torte, Citrus Creme Brulee, Meyer Lemon Chiffon Cake, and a selection of California cheeses if you want something that’s not really sweet.

As a signature restaurant in Disney World, you may see many kiddos dining here, but they absolutely can! The menu is also prix fixe for your smallest travelers with kids being able to choose one appetizer, one entree, two sides, and one dessert from the selection below.

When it comes to drinks, there’s no shortage of options. Water, juices, coffee, and sodas are included in the prix fixe cost. PLUS, you can also choose one of California Grill’s signature tea selections if you’d prefer. The list is pretty extensive (and yummy) including several teas that were carefully selected for the restaurant.

You can usually order more than one drink for yourself with prix fixe meals, so don’t be afraid to try a couple!

But, if you’d prefer something a bit stronger, California Grill also has a selection of beer, wine, and cocktails available. Here’s a peek that the Signature Cocktails including some fun ones like the San Francisco Mai Tai, the California Grill Signature Cocktail (which is a WHOPPING $138), and the Californa Grill Sour.

Note that all of these cocktails, wine, and beer are an additional cost on top of your prix fixe meal.
