Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is the newest hotel in Disney World. But, a stay here isn’t anything like a stay at Disney’s other hotels…and neither is the cost!
Disney’s Star Wars hotel is unlike anything you’ve ever experienced before. In fact, even calling it a hotel is a bit of a stretch! Instead of the hotel being just a place to rest your head between park visits themed to the movies, Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is a highly-immersive “hotel” where you’ll stay for the entirety of 2 nights and 3(ish) days. You can think of it as part cruise-part escape game-part Star Wars movie. We know, kind of confusing — let us explain!
When you book a stay at the Star Wars hotel, you’ll be transported up into the galaxy (or at least it will feel like it), where you’ll get to actually live out your very own Star Wars story that YOU control. The starship is full of characters that interact with you and give you missions to complete throughout your stay. And, depending on who you talk to and what allegiances you form, you’ll either be helping out the Resistance or the First Order.
But, what does it cost to train with lightsabers, learn to navigate a Starship, and basically enter your very own Star Wars movie? First, let’s go over what’s included in the price of your stay.
The pricing structure of the Star Wars hotel is very similar to a Disney cruise where your room, meals, and more are included in the cost. Here’s a quick overview of everything you can expect will be included:
- 2-night stay in a cabin or suite “onboard”
- Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and non-alcoholic beverages, including a Quick Service meal at Docking Bay 7 Food & Cargo in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and other select restaurants in Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- Admission to Disney’s Hollywood Studios on Day 2 of your stay
- Valet parking
- Exclusive Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser MagicBand to be used onboard and future Disney World visits
And, now for the numbers — here’s how much you’ll have to shell out to get this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
According to Disney’s website, prices start from $4,809 for 2 guests, $5,299 for 2 adults and 1 child, and $5,999 for 3 adults and 1 child for most weeknight voyages departing between August 21st to September 14th, 2023. Keep in mind that this is just the lowest cost according to Disney and prices can vary greatly depending on when you’re traveling, how many people are in your party, and what room you’re booking.
Disney does not publish a full list of pricing on their website. Instead, you’ll need to call to get all the details and book your trip at (407) 939-1800.
Before you pick up the phone, be sure that you know what date you’d like to stay at the Star Wars hotel, how many people will be in your party and their ages, the address and phone number for everyone in your party, your preference for the first or second dinner service, and any add-ons you’d like to book including an extension of your trip at a Disney Resort hotel before or after your stay at Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser.
