Deciding on a Disney World Resort hotel to stay at is one of the first things that you do when you’re planning a Disney vacation, and that first choice doesn’t have to break your budget!
Depending on what time of year you’re traveling, you can usually find Disney hotel discounts – you just have to know where to look! Oftentimes there are special deals available for Florida Residents, Disney World Annual Passholders, and even some cheaper rates on vacation packages. And, while these tend to be tied to specific travel dates, there’s one group of guests that can score deals year-round – U.S. Military Members!
Disney has officially announced their 2023 U.S. Military hotel rates! To qualify for the rate, you need to be active or retired US military personnel, including active or retired members of the National Guard, Reservists, the US Coast Guard, the US Space Force, the Commissioned Corps of the Public Health Service (PHS), and the Commissioned Corps of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
If you’re a spouse of a Military Service Member, you’ll also be able to get the discounted rate if you’re not traveling with active or retired Military Personnel or Commissioned Corps Members as long as you can present valid and active U.S. Military IDs.
The discounted hotel rates are available most nights from January 1st through December 15th, 2023 for stays between 1 to 14 consecutive nights. And, you don’t need to worry about booking your stay far in advance – you can reserve a room with the deal now through December 15th, 2023.
Some exceptions do apply and the offer excludes bookings at The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, all 3-bedroom villas and suites in Moderate and Deluxe Resort hotels, Cabins at Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, The Little Mermaid Standard Rooms at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, and Bungalows at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows. All other hotels in Disney World qualify.
Note that the military member or spouse must be staying in the room to get the savings and will need to show a valid Military ID at check-in.
