There’s A NEW Way To Save On Dining When You Stay At A Disney World Hotel!

It’s been nearly three years since the Disney Dining Plan was available as an add-on to a Disney World vacation, and many fans eagerly await its return.

Disney did confirm last year that dining plans would come back sometime in the future, but it doesn’t look like we’re there just yet. Instead, Disney is offering a different kind of dining discount this summer and we’ve got all the details!

Right now, you can get between $35 to $150 applied to a Disney Dining Promo Card if you book a 5-night, 4-day Disney World room-and-ticket vacation package on select dates this summer. This deal only applies to stays most nights from June 25th to September 14th, 2023 with varying credits being applied based on the date that your vacation starts.

The big catch here? You have to book your stay for these qualifying dates by March 27th, 2023. If you go to make your summer hotel reservation on March 28th, you won’t be able to book this dining deal — even if your stay will be between June-September.

Now, before we break down where you’ll need to stay to take advantage of the offer, what exactly is a Disney Dining Promo Card? Well, it’s basically a Disney gift card that can only be used on food. You can use it anywhere there is food though, including table-service restaurants, quick-service restaurants, or snack stands both inside the parks and at your hotel. Just keep in mind that you won’t be able to use it on any bottled drinks or snacks you might pick up in the gift shops or candy shops (like the Main Street Confectionery in Magic Kingdom) — you’ll need to be at a spot that is solely dedicated to food to be able to use it. It also cannot be used at dining locations at any hotels that are not directly owned and operated by Disney.

So, how much can you actually get based on where you stay? Here are the details!

Disney World Deluxe Villas and Resorts have the highest Dining Promo Card offer, with guests receiving $150 per room, per night most nights between July 1st to July 10th and August 1st to September 14th, 2023. Or, you can get $125 per room per night for most nights between June 25th to June 30th  and July 11th to July 31st, 2023. Here are the hotels that qualify for this deal:

  • Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
  • Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village
  • Disney’s Beach Club Resort
  • Disney’s BoardWalk Inn
  • Disney’s BoardWalk Villas
  • Disney’s Contemporary Resort
  • Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort
  • Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
  • The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
  • Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
  • Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
  • Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
  • Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
  • Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
  • Disney’s Old Key West Resort
  • Disney’s Riviera Resort
  • Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa

Select Disney Moderate Resorts are also part of the Disney Dining Promo Card offer, however, the amount you’ll receive for dining is about $50 less than the Deluxe Resorts and Villas. So, you can get $100 per room, per night applied to the digital Disney Dining Promo Card if you book a package most nights between July 1st to July 10th and August 1st to September 14th, 2023. Or, receive $75 per room, per night when booking the packages between June 25th to June 30th and July 11th to July 31st, 2023.

Just be sure that you book at one of the following Moderate Resorts:

And, if you’d prefer to stay at a Disney Value Resort, you can still get in on the deal. The vacation package includes a digital Disney Dining Promo Card with $50 per room, per night for stays most nights between July 1st to July 10th and August 1st to September 14th, 2023. Or, a Disney Dining Promo Card with $35 per room, per night for guests traveling between June 25th to June 30th and July 11th to July 31st, 2023.

Here are the Value Resorts where you can take advantage of the dining offer:

Disney’s Beach Club

At all of these resorts, you’ll receive your Disney Dining Promo Card digitally via email after you check in at your Disney hotel. It will go to the email of the main reservation holder on the account and then you can forward it along or screenshot the gift card to share with anyone else in your group that might need it throughout your stay.

Then all you have to do is show the barcode from the email or show a printed copy to the Cast Member at the register when purchasing your food. Plus, you can even add it to your My Disney Experience app and apply it to Mobile Orders.

There is no limit to how much you can spend from the Disney Dining Promo Card per day. So, you can use it all in one spot or spread it out throughout your entire trip.

Keep in mind that you cannot take advantage of this offer if you’re booking with any other Disney hotel or ticket discounts. So, be sure to check for any other discounts that you might qualify for (like Annual Passholder or Florida Resident deals) and do some math to see which will save you the most money over your vacation.

Generally, a family of 4 will spend on average somewhere between $200-$250 per day on dining during their Disney World trip, so take that into consideration when planning your vacation budget with this offer. Of course, there are ways to do dining much cheaper or for much more — it just depends on your preferences!

To book this hotel-and-ticket vacation package offer, head to Disney’s website. You’ll want to be sure that you select the “Stay, Play and Enjoy a Disney Dining Promo Card” offer when booking your hotel.
